Scope and content
Academic study examining barriers faced by women entering non-traditional business sectors in South Africa. Analysis based on interviews with 50 women entrepreneurs, policy review, and comparative international research. Identifies systemic challenges including access to capital, skills training, networking opportunities, and market acceptance. Provides recommendations for policy development and program design. Includes statistical analysis of women's participation rates across sectors 2010-2018.
